Nick, you did a great job freshening up the car! :grinyes:  Good to see you around again, man!  That car has always looked very nice & had the power to back up its looks, but I really like how you've done it this time around (white with a side stripe & I'm really liking the Corporate Blue engine).

thanks for the compliments. :2thumbs: No more pics as of now  I took the car out of the garage and covered it up so i could finish the rest of the body panels. I cant wait to put it all back together. i think im going to paint the tailight housings white also and just leave the recess's  black so they stand out and the tail panel flows. Hard to work on it after working all day, takes time! :working:

I say leave the signals as is.  Nothing wrong with 72-74 cars other than the rediclious bumper offsets and bumper stops.

Awesome car, the paint looks awesome.  Love the combo.

Don

PS.  Thank you for taking off the mustang rims.

I didnt like the stang wheels becuase they had no dish to them, the face of the rim was right to the edge out the wheel.

My question about the signals is not the side marker lights but rather the fender mounted turn signals part of the light group. They mount on top of the front fenders. Im torn between keeping them or welding them shut

fenders are done and i picked up some stainless bolts and washers to put them on. All i have left to paint/do body work is the bumpers /headlight surround and rear valance. I removed all the front rubber bumper fillers . the one that bolts to the grille and the ones that go to the headlight surround and clip into the fenders. i shaved the holes on the fenders and im going to suck the bumper all the way into the grille. i've never seen another challenger doen like this,  and it looks kick A$$.

Well, i got the fenders on,still need to do final alignment . I really messed them up though. The paint came out SO freakin good, But i ran the clear heavy on the top of not ONE but BOTH fenders. I had no room to move around and got hung up on my air line.

Long story short,i tried wet sanding the runs out, but im scared im going to break through into the base coat. I've also heard that once you create a run, even if you sand it out you will always see it. Is it possible to sand it down spray base coat in just that area and then use a spot panel clear to blend?

My other option  that i thought of ,was to spray the tops of the fenders and the tops of the doors with a textured black paint. Kind of like an AAR cuda. Not sure how "just " the fenders would look black without doing the hood though?

 Looking real sharp! I can tell by your video how you "removed" your mustang wheels (the rear ones, at least!)  :burnout:     :dunno: If it were me, I don't think I would black out the fender tops and not the hood also. Hope you can fix the runs.
