Well, good luck!  When do you expect to be in Florida?  Would you be able to make it to the Garlits Show in Ocala?  I'll be there with my 71 Superbee.  That's pretty far away for me, since I live in Jacksonville.

Nice Job on the Gauges. Who made up the stuff to do them.
I also need a new switch panel 4 hole and wonder what vender to buy one from. I assume you polished the inside instead of painting it the brown{burnt rubber}

Getting ready to move to Florida - Car has sold to a Member here so at least it is staying in the family...

He's letting me finish it down in Florida but before I transport it I wanted to set the engine and tranny in place.  New owner REALLY wanted the car to be Hemi Orange so it will be getting a another fresh coat of paint.  To start offf, I decided to paint under the hood so that I only have to set the engine in place once.

Here are some pics of the progress from yesterday.  Hope to have the engine and tranny in place today.  Then I'll need to put in the headliner so that I can install the windshield and back glass for the journey to Florida.

Yesterday, I installed a rebuilt steering gear box, new pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rod ends to get ready to put the engine and transmission in place.  Figured it would be a LOT easier to do those before there was a big hunk of metal in the way.  After that, hooked transmission up to the block and the dropped the 383 and 727 into place.

Glad you approve.  Plans for to are to install the windshield and back glass, then hang the fenders back on, and install hood & hinges.  Tomorrow, I plan to install the roof rails and vinyl top trim plus install the passenger side door glass and probably throw on the old outer door handles as well.

After that, start to pack everything up for the move

Started to get back on the car now that things have settled down.  Removed the rear brakes and axles.  Removed old fuel and brake lines and installed new ones.  Steve decided to go with rear disc brakes 

Got a bunch of parts in so plenty of work to do - installed new water pump and housing, installed fuel pump, installed power steering pump

Tore apart buckets and saw that the foam were shot - Steve ordered new ones from Dante.  They came late Monday, so I started to get going on the seats last night.
