I don't know about you removing the welded part on your pressure plate yet but in order for you to have it checked, it has to be put on a flywheel that has been neutrally balanced first. So.... Hope that Mopar Masters has one of those. Once it is neutrally balanced, then you install it on your new offset balanced flywheel.
My balancer guy had a problem looking at the numbers on my printout too when I brought him my flywheel. (in-oz offset added to flywheel) He told me to buy an offset torque converter flexplate for a 340 cast crank from someone like Summit. He can then match my flywheel to "balance" exactly like the flexplate, then I can return the flexplate to Summit. My balancer guy builds many racing engines and knows what he is talking about.
I took it to a friend to drill it on his Machine shop's drill press instead. The Mopar manual said what to do, so I did it.
