brett favre
« on: August 17, 2010 - 07:03:41 PM »
 :bananasmi  :woohoo:  :woohoo:

The silver fox has landed in minneapolis this afternoon.my minnesota vikings now have another crack at the superbowl again this year.  :woo:

i know alot of you guys don't like favre but i'm fired up he's here, knew he was gonna go another year and didn't listen to all the media crap the last few weeks.it looks like it took hutchinson, allen and longwell to go to mississippi to talk to him to give it one more year.next thing he's landing here.probably had alot to do with it along with the offer of 7 more million on top of the 13 million of a one year contract.all i got to say is were alot better off with favre than having jackson or rosenfels at the helm.

anyway,

GO VIKINGS.  :woohoo:  :woo:  :woohoo: :bananasmi  :jumping:  :stirpot:  :poopoke:

:clueless: I guess when your desperate ya do desperate things. Putting Farve behind center is like putting a 200,000 mile original engine in a freshly painted dragster. It's already lasted longer than it should have and it may be able to bark the tires some, but how long can it last? It can blow anytime. They are just prolonging the eventual, they'd be better off prepping for the future. It's like saying this is our teams last chance ever of winning. Good? Sure he's good, a hall of fame QB one day, but his great grandson will have to give his enshrinment speech  :roflsmiley:  He better split up that extra 7 M with his O line, that's his insurance policy for a healthy life.  :2cents:

I just don't understand the whole "I'm retired, oh wait I'm coming back" thing   :dunno:

Just say, traing camp is long and hard, let me play my time in the season to try and stay as fresh as possible.

Just curious, how do you Viking fans feel about the back ups?
Is there any future there?
I know the Packers had Rodgers waiting, the Jets flat out had to draft a new QB and was just curious on your status?

I would hate to order food at a restuarant with Brett Favre with me. He would never decide what to get.

Check out the last comments Paul Allen says.

He has developed the perfect scam. Just hem and haw around for months, then show up at the end of training camp. That way he misses all the mind numbing two-a-day practices.

He really needed to take a page from Lebron James, and make the announcement during a press conference during prime time TV.      :violin:    :violin:    :violin:

Let's just say I'm happy it's football season, hey and for once my team is not having try outs for quarterback through training camp... or even the ultra cool "coin flip" decision on a starter.

He is scheduled to play this Sunday against the 49'ers.
O.K. enough of the East Coast teams.

Go 9'ers.

Who will throw the first interception Alex or Brett?

I am sure all the Haters would love to have Brett, even if it was just for 1 year.

Honestly,I do "get it".  To this day (I'm 37) if I still had a chance to play football, almost everything else would be secondary.

Here's someone that continues to have the opportunity and continues to capitalize on it.  Yes, it makes for an inspiring circus during every off-season, but right now Favre's only real mistake is ever mentioning retirement at all.

Take away the "on again, off again" theatrics and he's another great quarterback finding 2nd life with another team, just like Montana or Warner.

I think Brett is finally done after the way he played last night. Add to that the Sexting he is accused of and it doesn't look like he will be playing much longer.
