Hey guys I am new and working on my first car
« on: August 18, 2010 - 01:13:41 AM »
Hey guys I am new to this site. I am a member of moparts.com and have been posting there for a few weeks now. I feel like a jerk because I have posted like 3 times here today and didnt go to the new guys section. My bad guys here is my intro and pics of my 72 Chally thats been cloned to a 70. It has a 383 now with a 727 tranny and 323 gears.  I am working on a 440 motor right now ( I have stealth heads and a forged crank, I may get a stroker lit but any suggestions on the motor would be very helpful) and my car still has a few touch ups to be had but here it is constructive criticism is always welcome.

Welcome to the site. Nice car. It looks good. The Stealth heads are a good choice. They can make good power with a little porting. I have a set on my 440 and they do just fine. There are some threads here in the tech section on those heads as well as some good data on engine builds in the "proven engine combo's" section. Great site with with lots of friendly Mopar nuts! :2thumbs:

Welcome, and that's a sharp Challenger for sure.  I know how you feel about the offers you're getting.  I've taken my car to three different auto shops since I bought it earlier this year and have been approached at all three to see if I was interested in selling!  It's flattering, but the last time it happened I had to fight not to laugh in the guys face because I could tell what he was going to say while he was walking toward me.  I don't mean that in a bad way, its just that it is getting kind of funny that this happens so often.  Again, welcome to the place.  There's some great information and friendship to be had here.
