Work Completed Week Ending 10/31/04
« on: November 01, 2004 - 09:13:40 AM »
Have we all slowed down, or is it just us?  This week, we ordered new foam for the front seats, discovered our HUGE headliner boo-boo, started shopping around for material for the headliner.

With this kind of reckless speed ( :-X), we may have to adjust our end date to February.

Inside of trunk floor wire brushed. Not much i know, but better any steps than no steps :P Several pinholes but since it'll be the driver, a couple of coats of Corroless followed by Chassis Black and a trunk mat should work for my needs.

Didn't do much either. Removed the front seat and carpet. Pics included.

I had that same problem with the bumper brackets and hood hinges being mounted in the wrong spot.   ;D

I did a bunch of prep work on Saturday and was able to paint the engine compartment later in the day.

Thanks!  It is the first time I have painted a car.  :-[  I thought the engine bay would be the best place to practice.  ;)  I have to say I was happy with my results and it wasn't as hard as I thought it might be.  I did have a few runs, but they will get covered by the fenders.  Another thing I keep telling myself is that it is just paint!  If I mess up, I can always try again.  :D

Well I got started on the power steering unit and some pulleys.  Unfortunitely when I tried to press the new pulley on the altenator, it seized up and won't spin.  Small setback, just need to find someone to fix it!  :-\
