Agreed. the guys running these things aren't exactly on shoe string budgets, so I don't doubt it will be fixed and returned to competition.
In all the years I've been competition driving, it never ceases to suprise me how many drivers are "bumper drivers" or they don't look more than a car length or two ahead of them. I suspect that, despite the money and value of these cars, some of the drivers in these vinatage series are the same way. Heck, maybe even more so here since the price of admission is more finacially relevent than expereince based.
Was nice to see the Dodge up front though. Despite how the 1970 season ended, the mopars regularly qualified up front. They just lacked the endurance on the parts to finish there consistently.
