4 spd clutch fork??

Hi I have a 72 340 4spd. Cuda.I was trying to fix my clutch linkage and it looked like the shift fork was too long to install on my new z bar(which would explain the highly modified linkage and z bar on the car now).I removed the clutch fork and it measures about 12 1/2" long with a ball stud pivot mounted on a pedistal in the bell housing. I checked at Brewers Performance and they show a 10 3/4" clutch fork with a stamped steel pivot that mounts with 2 bolts. My question is do they make a shift fork for this pivot system in the correct length for my car or am I going to have to replace my bellhousing ,or can it modified to work with the correct set-up for my car?

Im not sure what you got. but you described brewers part the correct way. What size flywheel and clutch do you have. I do have everything you need in my shed to make it oem. I wont be home for a few weeks to see what number is on the bell tho. I do know its a 72 340 cuda bell and other stuff

I called Brewers and they said my bellhousing is incorrect for my car and must be changed to make it work with factory parts. They said the bellhousing is from a overdrive 4spd from a newer Dodge truck!!!! :horse:

make me an offer on my bellhousing.  it is off a 72 cuda.   great condition no issues

Ball stud pivots were only used on the OD truck version so they are correct , you could modify the fork by cutting & welding & re-inforcing it to the shorter length

Are you also using the OD truck transmission?  If so, the bearing retainer is probably too big for the non overdrive bellhousing.

the front brg retainer can be trimmed down to the 4.80" hole if needed
