I've talked to the engineer over the phone and seems good. Basically told me about the belts and headlights but didn't say anything about blinkers or even amber parker lights. He's going to charge me about $350. Not a bad hourly rate if you can get it.  Hopefully it'll sail threw. The belts actually showed today so when time permit's we'll get into it. :clapping:

I think I will move either North or West, I have to get a VASS certificate and the engineer wants $860.   :faint:

What year is yours that will work out what you have to do.. I missed out by about 2 -3 months mine is a 9 / 73. the ADR for the amber indicator lights came in 7/ 73.. bugger!
Did you have to change your front seatbelts? The engineer just tested mine and said fine  :2thumbs:. I had some good news I fronted up at my local inspection branch and they said no probs bring it here, just book in ..  :clapping: better than taking it to Welshpool, anybody over here will tell you how bad that is, you cant book you just wait and wait for hours... :22yikes:

No just a local thing All imports must still meet Australian Design Rules of that year.

Thanks Russ. In regards to th eamber lights it just someone else mentioned about them but the engineer didn't so hopefully no dramas. Mine's a 1st month 1970 I also remembera lot of holdens up to early HQ and some Falcon's had amber lights too. But anyway time will tell.

You wont have to if its a 70, it only needs to comply with the ADR of the year it was built

Yup ... I have a '74 HQ Ute with clear front indicators - never been an issue.

Reading over yours and others seat-belt issues, I'm glad to be in NSW.

Don't need to change the rear, only the front, plus the headlights - but the Blue Slip inspection station is fine. Don't need to bother with an engineer :)

Oh, and we need more pics  :bigshades:

Just west of Brissie Punisher72. Was thinking of joining Queensland Chrysler's and going on some of their runs. Actually got the seatbelt's in today so it's getting closer. :2thumbs:
