OK, so I have some time to spend on the car. I have to take the engine right out so would appreciate any tips...such as getting the trans out without any damage, and what to attach the hoist to on the engine. The manual says to use the inlet manifold studs as hitching points...does that sound right with the edlebrock dual plane?? Seems a bit flimsy to me. Also, does draining the trans drain the stall converter as well or does that get done separately. And finally (for now), has anyone lifted the engine and trans together without separating?
