Dominator Carbs

was there a Dominator carb other than Holley?

The dominator design was created by Holley but there are a couple of other companies that make a dominator style carb , the dominator is a great carb but difficult to get low enough intakes & proper air cleaners to fit .
 the newer carbs like the Quick fuel / Proform have huge air flow # s from the standard 4150 style carbs now

People told me I didn't have enough motor for a Dominator and It would load up on the street, Blah,Blah,Blah...


Had it for over 13 years now, it's outdated, old as dirt, never been rebuilt, sits for months on end, and it STILL performs like a champ...I love mine as a Holley Brand..

I was told I was overcarbed with a 850 on my race 440 , stepped up to a 950 & the Duster went faster so I found a used dominator in a swap meet & installed it with an adapter onto the same intake & the Duster responded again running faster yet , it had great street mannors etc , one of the best carbs I have owned
