1977 Plymouth Cuda price?
« on: August 26, 2010 - 10:09:06 PM »
Hello everyone, I am currently in the process of negotiating with a fellow here in town on purchasng his 1977 cuda. He said in a few months he would sell it but doesnt know what they are worth now. Out of a 10, the body overall is about a 6. Minor bits of rust, interior would probably be redone, and it only has a 314 in it (original engine) and its an automatic. It hasn't moved in 6 years and he has owned it for 13.

Any idea on what kind of price range I would be looking at?

It must be a typo, you probably mean a 70-74 Cuda with a 318.

Yup, no such thing as a 77 cuda or a 314 engine in Mopars...

I know about a 85 Cuda though....

I would start at 10 grand and go up from there. You don't see many 77's and even less of them with the 314's. Most of them had the V-6's.
But you knew that...

In all honesty, I am new to the wholey Barracuda cars, all I know is that when I saw one as a child, I wanted one. The guy said it was a 77 but as you guys have all so clearly stated, it is probably wrong. I will try to get some pics if the guy is not home tomorrow and upload them.

In answer to the engine size, I thought he said 314, might have been 318, I can not be sure. I am a Mustang II owner but am willing to sell it if it means owning a Cuda.

A `77 314 cuda is pretty rare but not worth as much as a `72 Hemicuda!   :naughty:

Get some pics and copy down the vin number on the dash board, drivers side thru the windshield. If you can also check under the hood on the drivers side inner fender for a tag with numbers and letters and inside the drivers door on the rear edge for a sticker with more info.

Hey don't mind us it's all in good fun! Hope your not offended. We were all new to this at some point.
Generally the 70-71 are worth more than the 72-74. All depends on options and if it's all original
