    '70 440 engine codes

    I'm looking to buy a '70 Cuda 440 & need to know where to look for the codes to determine if it is #s matching?  Also, any exterior hints it is a 440?

    The VIN & fender tag says it is.

    i assume the 69 440 is the same.  on my car the stamp on the engine block is on the passenger side towards the bottom.  i forget exactly where, and im sure someone will verify, but i just stuck my head behind the passenger front tire with a light and looked.  didnt take long to find

    It is on the right side just above the oil pan near the engine mount  ;)
