Hooker dark side headers?
« on: August 29, 2010 - 12:34:30 AM »
Just curious if anybody knows anything about these. I know I've heard not to use most hooker headers, but I haven't seen any info about these ones.

I just noticed that yearone is selling them so I figured they were probably a quality piece. But thought I'd ask the experts on here first...

I don't specifically know about the headers, but what makes you believe that a huge company like Year Zero has any interest in selling quality products?

They are standard Hooker headers with black thermal coating instead of ceramic coating.

Mostly because everything I have gotten from them has been good quality. That and they are a widely renowned name. And I have never heard any complaints about them.

Do a search here and you'll find plenty. There are MANY vendors selling the same products that YO does and at lower prices and better customer service.   :2cents:

Stay away from Hooker headers. They fit poorly and leak badly.

And to add to that, I have not installed any hooker header that does not need to be beat with a hammer to clear parts of the car. It would be depressing to have to beat up a ceramic coated header.
