this was the most 71's I had seen in one show like this ... they swamped the other years

Only 1 guy showed with a 72-4.

I believed this one to be a 73 or 74.


I would say 75% of the cars in this show did not advertise what make, model, or year their car was.

And these are Custom New Challengers, by Tommy Pike.

Tommy gave me my first ride in a new Challenger (not shown)

He does custom work and one-offs ... all but the last is of an all metal Wide Body.

if the Challenger is a woman, tommy put the A$$ on her she deserves!

I was going to go, but had to work 1/2 day and injured my foot as well. Figured several hours of walking would do more harm than good.

Where do you hail from? You could have swung by the cruise-in in Asheboro on the way home.

I am here in Greer (Geeeer) SC.

I walked so much my hips still hurt!
sunburned ..... geez it was good to get out.

I passed up two local cruise-ins on the same day here

Our cruise was 90 miles in the opposite direction. Just a hop and skip up NC 49 in Asheboro.

Not too many mopes besides mine, but there was a 73 cuda that looked like it got driven off the time machine showroom floor.

Sweet, By the time we left it was 4PM or later .... 1-1/2 - 2 hours later I hit the shower went out and got my first bite of real food ... by midnight I think I saw bed.

As much as I love the rods.... I am not sure there was too much left of me to go looking.

I think we will go back to Lowes for the Goodguys show in Oct.....
