71 challenger clone project
« on: August 29, 2010 - 11:37:51 PM »
Pictures are from 1997 shortly after I got the car.  I Intro-ed my self on the newbie page with a little story.  The plan is to turn her into a Yella 340 RT fake job.  Finally went to the shop last week.  New pics will follow as I pic them up from the shop.  Many questions too as I need Help!  Thanks in advance.

Great car.  Where'd you find that?  How many original miles?? :clapping:
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

WOW, that's a pretty solid car. Looked really nice in the photos you posted. Can't wait to see how it's going to turn out. You're doing a great job on the rust repair too!

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging words.  I just have the dream.  I don't have the knowledge or skill to do this stuff myself, so I have contracted a local restorer to help build my project.  I'm very pleased so far.  We are waiting on a fender or two from AMD so other areas are being addressed.  I'm hoping they are available before we run out of things to fix or I run out of money.
