We ran into a major hiccup back in March with the motor. I had a friend assemble the engine after it was machined back in 2004. Although he is a master mechanic, apparently he is not and engine builder. The wrong size bearings were installed and when the motor was started there was no oil pressure. Luckily, the guys were on top of it and shut it right down. The engine was pulled and sent to a reputable speed shop for another overhaul. This shop found a several other issues besides the bearings and corrected them. The valve job had to be redone, the heads reground and something to do with the fuel pump was replaced. After 3 weeks and $1800 my rebuilt, rebuilt motor was reinstalled and purrs like a kitten.
