cams in that little 340, or big 440, that sound like they'd crush anything on the road...Yet, when they strap 'em to a Dyno, they are only puttin' 270 HP at the wheels...Same thing applies to the tuner cars as well...Some will haul azz...

Haha!! I'd love to have 270rwhp outta my 318!!!! :smilielol: Corse then again, It's got a mild cam, slight head work, .40 bore, edlbrock carb, and intake with Headman headers....hhhmmmmm????

Hats off to that guy! Sounds like a smart cookie! There will always be someone faster. Not manylike him ....around here anyhow?

You must never get out of the house then. In summer take a cruise down the 400 to Toronto and at Langstaff go west. I take my SRT4 Neon to the cruise during the week they have near the Canadian Tire and there are plenty of fast street cars there including my SRT4 Neon. I have raced plenty of Subs but they like to go from a Standing start on the street because they have that advantage without slicks. My car needs slicks to hook but when it comes to a third gear roll on street tires the Subs don't stand a chance with what is under my hood. Any car with a power adder needs to be taken seriously. My car is a street car, took it to the Mississauga Warehouse show this Spring. I have other old muscle cars but people expect them to be fast and it is a fast street car, faster than most, but the Neon is almost as fast and is not expected to be fast. My other SRT4 Neon that is bone stock has run 13.6 at Shannonville not a very good drag strip and that is faster than most Performance car from the 60s and 70s.

3rd gear roll??  How do you line that up - you both get going and when you feel you are both staged properly - thumbs up??
