Those lil' riceburners can go as fast as they like but they will never be anything other than a "girls car"  :roflsmiley:  "Only milk and juice come in 2 liters"  :cooldancing:

I'd love to do some turbo upgrades on my Stealth so I can really experience a fast car, but I'll just settle for my small twins in the meantime.
My stealth is definitely quicker than my 440-6. They are two totally different driving experiences.

I've always thought those were good looking cars. I know they can be wicked fast in their own right, but I always wanted to tub one and drop in a V8. It may not be as fast as original, but it would sure sound wicked and make people do the old double take when they hear it.

Those cars just don't have the character that the old mopars have. Almost any car can be fast if you put enough money into it. Fast isn't always better.

The Mopar cure for those ricers is the guy that my son showed me who has a soccer mom silver Caravan that runs in the 8's in the 1/4 mile- on 4 cylinders from Mother Mopar. If I hadn't watched the video, I wouldn't have believed it. Check You Tube. :burnout:

:iagree:

I had an 05 Neon SRT-4 for a few years.  It was fairly reliable, economical and fast for what it was.  I did the common sense mods: Air filter, exhaust, Mopar Performance computer, Poly bushings and Pistol grip shifter  :grinno:  It was a blast to drive and faster than anything my friends had.  But they all broke my stones mercilessly for driving a college girls car.  I took them on a bonzai run at about 145 Mph (professional driver, closed course, do not attempt) and got respect for a week or so, then the comments started again.  SRT-4 got sold and the money got reinvested to put the Challenger on the road.  Less reliable, far less economical but a hell of a lot more fun to drive.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

When I was a member of the Z club (as in nissan/datsun z's) we used to do at the beginning of every year down to a drag strip for opening day. Had some ridiculously fast 300zx's and 350z's down there. One of our guys had a twin turbo 300zx that ran around 700 hp when we went to the strip. He would tune it down to around 500 hp for daily driving lol. Another 350z was running over 500 hp daily, and this was before he got his nitrous setup installed. I had a (mostly) stock 350z at the time, all my upgrades were meant to unleash the cars natural power and to improve traction and handling. Had very few power upgrades (later got a twin turbo kit for it.........and now it's sold lol). And for those of us that had the mostly stock cars, the subaru wrx sti's were our constant competition. In the 1/4 the subarus would usually take us by a little bit, but when we would mess with them in top speed runs, we could usually pull away on top end.

Now I loved my 350z, and there are days when I still miss it. Seeing that I don't really have a fun car to drive right now, it only makes it worse when I think about my old Z. That being said. I think the 350z looked pretty good. But I think my cuda has absolutely gorgeous body styling in comparison. And when it is all said and done, my cuda will be sitting at around the same hp level (way more tq) and will have cost me about the same amount of money. All for something better looking, more rare, and a true classic.

Those sport compacts have their charms. But old muscle is where it's at for me!
Cuda is gone :(

There is NOTHING like the sound and feel of the true pumping and churning of V-8 horsepower being laid on the ground.I have a rice-burning buddy I make fun of all the time by telling him when I get the "GOLDFISH" done I am going to give him a ride but first I will have to mount a toilet seat on the passenger side just for him.LMFAO! :roflsmiley:

My other car I race is a 98 Impreza RS coupe with 02 WRx motor and a custom turbo kit that my company built. Sadly, Ive run faster in that car then my Cuda with a 509ci. The Impreza is a stock block 2.0 too. Super light car compared to the newer wrx or sti's.

Yeah, have to respect them for what they are, but I have still to get goosebumps when I hear the exhaust of a Subie.  Still not used to it.

A nice V8 on the other hand....

of course, I think there are also a few known "mopar" blocks to put out 7-8 hp per cubic inch.
