That is such a good looking car! Any suspension mods (stiffer springs/torsion bars, adjustable components, etc) other than the lowered spindles? What are you going to do with the engine that came with it?
Dave
The suspension is all pretty stock except for poly bushings, 2" lowering blocks for the rear leaf springs and the mopar dropped spindles for the front. I could've torsion-barred the front suspension down, but since I'm building this car for driveability, I wanted to keep the geometry as true as possible while still having the car sit low.
I did put a lot of work into figuring wheel sizing and offset to ensure that the wheels would fit properly -- both front and back. The Dana 60 is a custom-build from Strange Engineering, cut to a width to fit my wheels and brakes exactly. I also decided to go with stock HEMI minifolds instead of headers and a low-profile Milodon oil pan in order to make sure I'd have plenty of clearance when driving. I even installed disc brakes at a size so that I can swap out the pro-touring wheels to 15" rallyes or steelies (with the right offset of course) someday.
I already sold the 1966 race HEMI. It was quite a motor -- even though I've own a newer Vette and other muscle cars, I hadn't ever driven a car with as much power as that HEMI pumped out. It was crazy -- almost scary. I hope my new 472 will be comparable.
