Hey everybody,
I purchased a 73 challenger from my brother about 2 years ago, and now finally Im at a point that I can dedicate some serious time to the resto. It started life as a gold, white top, white interior, 318 ac challenger from Arizona. It was repainted top banana when I got it. The car was a very solid rust free car, with a little body damage here and there but not bad at all. I hoped to have an easy resto.
Started the resto about a year ago, and I'm making good progress. After I dug into the body, I found more damage than I expected. A new driver side AMD quarter, and a patch on the passenger side, a little time on the frame machine, and here I am. Right now I'm in the middle of body work, which is a learning experience for me. With some pointers from some experts in the field, its coming along. Here is a pic of its current state. I hope to get my doors and fenders adjusted this weekend, and next week I'll be getting my AMD r/t hood so I can get all of the body panels fit together.
When it hits the road next spring, it will be hemi orange, white top, white interior. 440 with a pistol grip 4 speed, and a 3.73 8 3/4.
