I Broke the mirrors on mine 'both" so 14 years bad luck. And it was easyer to take them apart.
I had a friend strip the Chrome/Nickel on 2 lefts and 2 rights {one set from my 71 and one from my 72. Did the same with the 3 tail bezals
I polished all 4 and the best 2 at the platers now . Thinking of painting the other set.
My 70 car never came with mirrors so it gets the 71-up ones and the 72up rally dash,disk brakes ect... Have to cut cost someplace and the car will have lots of custom but tastefuly done
