Radiator Question
« on: September 03, 2010 - 10:02:04 PM »
Hey guys I have a question regarding the radiator.

I am trying to direct as much air into my radiator as possible.  At the top of the radiator and radiator support there is a gap of about a half inch.  I was reading in another post where someone made the statement about the amount of air that flows through this gap is enormous and if you plug it with a foam type material you can increase the amount of air through the radiator.

So, did these cars have something there?  Or was there always a gap?  Does it really help to block/plug the gap?  If so, what would you recommend?

Thanks,

Most cars had a hood to radiator support seal. Check your hood for the mounting holes if yours is gone.
