In love with a car?
« on: September 04, 2010 - 09:31:23 AM »
So...   I love my car.  The shape, the lines. The hood, the dash...  When you sit in an Ebody you wear it.  Not like any other mopar.the whole thing is just plain cool. I've been seriously looking at challengers too. They really made some cool cars here. After taking them apart,I have a new respect for them too.How they made them.Hard to beat. The grilles, the engines, the back end...the whole thing is beautiful. Yup,I'm in love with my car.Ha!   Going out to polish the turd all day for Goldens super cruise tonight.it's all I want to do. Drive it,fix it,tear it all apart. Don't matter. It's everything I ever wanted in a car.  Can any of you relate to this?or do I need professional help?  Ha. R/T

The grille,window lines,back end.it's downright beautiful.I don't care what color or year.seems I'm crazy for the ebodies. And I

Yea the E body is a sure classic,

after all they make new ones that capture enough of the lines,

so we are not the only ones that love em! :iagree:

Yep I hear ya! I should call mine the mistress! :smilielol:  Sometimes before I go to bed, while letting the dog out to do his business I open the door to the garage turn on the light and smile! Then go to bed!
I have to pinch myself sometimes....still can't believe it's mine! I am truly blessed! :2thumbs:

I know what you mean I have had a love afair with the e bodies for a very very long time nothing like them and guess that is why I am missing mine so very much.  Just hope I can get it done or find someone that will not care if I put time into my car.  They are so much a part of all of our lives.  Just dont want someone that will be jealous over my car and the time I put into it.  May be askking alot for that to happen
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Yea I hear ya.  I never get tired of looking at them.  Sometimes I go out to shop just to look.  Then I usually end up puttering with something on them.  The other night I was laying on the floor cleaning the underside of the barracuda.  Hope to get a hoist some day, would make that job a lot easier.  I have had the Barracuda for 32 years and will never get tired of it.

It's comforting to know I'm not the only one.crankn led Zeppelin wipin her down.everytime I go down that stripe I smile.hearing your words I know you guys understand. Sure I just stand there and gaze at it. Friggn sick!   Yea, is this really mine ?  How did this happen?  It's the perfect car for me.

Also...  Having a girl who can spot a mopar from a mile away."look a Superbee...  A charger... Down to the year. Sure helps. We broke up until I saw her hotwheel collection and I knew.  She's a handful sometimes.gonna get the duster I bet. Oh well. When looking for a car she'd say" why does it have to be a Cuda?" when it came she understood.  It's me.

I am totally in love with my Challenger, (the Cuda to a lesser extent) I look out the window or go into the carport every chance I get just to catch a glimpse of it. I find myself just staring at it and think "how lucky am I"

Let me put it this way, I told my whole family that when I am on my death bed and, if I am with it enough, that I want them to wheel me out to my Challenger so I can give it one last carress just like Arnie did to Christine

However much I love my cars, I would push them all off a cliff if it meant saving someone I love, or saving my house. Cuz after all they're just cars, AWESOME CARS, but cars none the less.

I fell in love with my car the day I bought it. It was a very foggy day, worst I have ever seen, and this silver-grey car just faded in from the fog as I walked toward it. It was magical.

There's a reason some women feel that cars are their competition... ;)

I would have to agree with you that there's just something about the E-bodies that really lure you into them...Whether it be the growling engine (sb & bb) running true duals, sleek, crisp body lines, or the awesome high-impact colors that does it, I too am hooked on them...I've also gotten an appreciation for my Dodge-badged Mitsu. Stealth R/T TT, even though it seems to have bi-polar disorder (works great sometimes then pulls a complete 180* & makes you guess as to what's going on with it). ::)
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

The machine of a dream
Such a clean machine
With the pistons a pumpin
And the hub caps all gleam

When Im holdin your wheel
All I hear is your gear
When my hands on your grease gun
Oh it's like a disease son

Im in love with my car
Gotta feel for my automobile
Get a grip on my boy racer rollbar
Such a thrill when your radials squeal

Told my girl I'll have to forget her
Rather buy me a new carburetor
So she made tracks sayin
This is the end now
Cars don't talk back
They're just four wheeled friends now

When Im holdin your wheel
All I hear is your gear
When Im cruisin in overdrive
Don't have to listen to no run of the mill talk jive

Im in love with my car
Gotta feel for my automobile
Im in love with my car
String back gloves in my automolove

I never get tired of looking at the body lines of any ebody.  Totally sweet, better than any mustang or camaro.

I once broke up with a girl when my excuse of not being "in the mood" was that i wanted to go out and cruise my car....  :burnout:

she thought i was gay instead.  :faint:
