Are you sure that you are not getting feedback through the wiring?  The 1157 sockets need to be grounded into the housing.  The LED boards are dumb pieces, meaning they need voltage to work.

The way they work is each LED board has it's own wiring harness that runs to the control board. That is how it gets it's power and ground connection among other things. Just for kicks I did put the 1157 sockets back in the light buckets, but that had no affect. My new control board should be here in a couple of days, so hopefully that will be the end of my problems.

I also failed to add here that when the right turn signal is on, all 4 side marker lights flash too.   :screwy:  The problem seems to be a short from the right turn signal to the parking lights.

Fun stuff....     :pullinghair:

The marker light blinking is an indication of a faulty grounding circuit.  I'll contact my buddy to get a better explanation of "feedback" from the flasher.  It was weird to me as well until his explanation made me try something different.

Inching along here..

The new control board arrived today.   :jumping:  The tail lights work. Both turn signals work with NO feedback or flash from the right side to the left.   :2thumbs:  The emergency flashers work.  The brake lights work.

The only problem is if the turn signal is on to either side and I turn on the tail lights, the turn signals are wiped out, and everything out back goes solid red.    :stomp:

I called Larry, and he says I need to upgrade the turn signal flasher. Sooo, that is my next move. I'll let you know what happens, but at least I can drive the car and amuse the people behind me, as long as I don't drive at night.

P.S.- These look GREAT!!!  Just need to work out one more bug.

IT's Fixed !!    :bananasmi   :jumping:   :woo:   :woohoo:

As of 3:43PM Eastern time today, they are trouble free. I love them, to say the least. The turn signal flasher swap was the last piece of the puzzle.

I can only ask who is next to bite the bullet?    :dunno:

Brad,

Let me push you over the edge.

My car is stored elsewhere, so it won't happen tonight. The interesting things I have found is that there is a button to get rid of the sequential turn signals if you want to. I'm not sure why you would, but maybe they aren't legal in some areas?   :clueless:  In any case, you can make the LED's flash like normal boring turn signals. Not me, I bought them to be different.   :grinyes:  The emergency flashers will not flash sequentially. That bummed me out, as that would have made a great video. They just flash like normal turn signals. The brake lights and turn signals are MUCH brighter than the parking lights. I suppose this is a good thing. You would only have the parking lights on at night. so you don't want to be lit up like a Christmas tree. The bold flash of the brake lights and turn signals can wake up the guy behind you that you are either slowing or turning. Obviously I love them, if for no other reason than it adds a few degrees of coolness to the car. Heck, I just might now become one of those annoying people that drives around all day with his turn signal on.    :smilielol:

The 239$ was the price with another $10 for shipping. Be sure to state you have a Challenger and NOT a Charger. He is a Mustang guy, so...   No, really, he is a good guy.

The E-mail address is  Northwestmustang.com
