Have both and love em both, but I'll always pick the Cuda.  Smoother body lines I think.  Or maybe just because I had it first.  There are a few mopars I'd love to have sitting in my garage, but the Barracuda will always be number 1.

27 to 22, Obviously the Challenger is the superior car....... :roflsmiley:
I too own both and really, it all depends on which one I am driving at the time....
I love the visceral feel of the manual steering and gearbox and 440 of the Cuda.....
I love the small block smoothness and easy driveability of the power steering and auto trans of the Challenger....

I was looking at both when I picked up my Barracuda.  There's aspects of both I really like.  The cool flip up gas cap on a lot of Challengers, I like the Challenger rallye hood slightly better than the Cuda's because of the factory black out treatments for it.  Cudas have slightly smoother lines, etc. But I leaned towards the Cuda/Barracuda as I've always had Plymouths starting with my first car my 70 Roadrunner.  So I'd say anyone that can't appreciate both / either is unnecessarily limiting themselves.

I have had both and like them both but prefer the 70 Barracuda or Cuda.  I like the smooth lines better of the cuda and the way they handle is better to me.  I have had a lot of cars in my time and have always had a soft spot for the e-bodies but have also had a-bodis and b-bodies as long as it was a mopar.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Just b/c they made more Mustangs and Camaros doesn`t mean they are better does it?
`cuda = more rare, more valuable, leaner, meaner and better loking than the Challenger which I have to admit is a great car but.....`cudas are still and always will be better!!!!!!!!  :cooldancing:

It's funny, the motivation for me to begin looking for an E Body was Hod Rod TV show's recent build of an awesome Challenger they did for Year One.  They also built up a 71 Cuda at almost the same time, but the way they did the Challenger just spoke to me.  So which did I buy, a Barracuda of course.....

...Challenger.

I'm definitely not saying that I wouldn't like to own a 'Cuda, but the Challenger edges out a 'Cuda ever so slightly in my book...It's just something about the more distinct side profile of them over a 'Cuda's (sharper lines through the quarters). :2thumbs:

But as a platform, I'd say my signature says it all. ;)

I'm personally a fan of 'cudas. Don't know why, but that has always been the car I have wanted. On the other hand my father in law would want a 70 challenger if he had the money (he's restoring a 54 roadmaster right now lol). And my wife keeps talking about wanting one of the new challengers in pink lol.
Cuda is gone :(

Splitting my vote down the middle.  For both models, 1970 is my favorite year.

AAR Cuda > T/A Challenger
Cuda with Shaker hood > R/T with Shaker hood
R/T with rallye hood > Cuda with twin scoop hood
Base Challenger with flat hood > base Barracuda with flat hood (same for SE vs Gran Coupe)

Toy: 1970 Challenger

I have 2 Challengers and one Cuda.  I was going to fix up the Cuda to sell to pay for the Challenger Vert. Till my wife said that she would drive it, because she liked Cudas better.

So that settles it; Cudas are GIRL'S CARS
