swaybar size advice
« on: September 09, 2010 - 09:53:52 AM »
Can anyone point me in the right direction, I am going to be putting on a 1 1/8 front swaybar but Im not sure as to the size of the rear  3/4" or 7/8"  any suggestions..? Standard 360 Cuda and I wont be driving it hard, few quick corners thats about all.
I have to import them so getting two at the same time is important.
cheers..

Firm feel doesn't recommend anything larger than 3/4" because they say these cars starting having traction issues with larger diameter rear bars.

Depends on the mounting method.  3/4" frame hung will have the same rate as a 7/8" axle hung, so there is no difference there. 15/16" or 1" axle hung bars do step up the rate a bit, but still not hugely so. Now a 7/8" frame hung bar is pretty stout.

I should have clarified, Firm Feel's position is for a frame hung bar.
