Fuel pump--posible winter project?
« on: September 13, 2010 - 11:18:52 PM »
This electric fuel pump is driving me nuts...its noisy as all heck and just anoying (Mallory 110).

I am thinking of going back to a manual pump.

I can not remeber if I put the pump eccentric back on when I redid the engine...Its a 1980 360.  Would I have had to put it on?

Any recomendations on good, resonably priced pump?

360, torker II intake Eddy torker cam, 750 CFM holley.

I remeber that I had an issue with a manual pump back in the day, the eccentric wore through the pump arm.  I am betting that this was an oiling issue, but not sure.

I guess I need to pull of the timing cover and have a look.

I would bet you put it back on ,you can see it inside the fuel pump opening

Just remove the fuel pump block off plate. You can see it or put a screwdriver in there to feel it.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
