Oh believe me the thought has crossed my mind a few times now! Wouldn't be my first trip to Cullman! I bought a 55 Belair about 12 years ago in Cullman.
16 hour and 16 minutes acording to mapquest. I seem to remember 18 hours though?

So how much to have it wrapped and fitted to a pallet and trucked? Im curious about freight costs in the states as a thousand mile shipping cost in Australia wouldn't be more than say $200 to $250. And gas costs a whole lot more here.

It has been since July since I saw ya' last  :roflsmiley:

I guess I had 3 more questions...

How much carb would you put on this beast ( single carb? or is the 6 pack the way to get the most out )

Will an "RB" intake sit on this set-up or will I need a "B" series intake?

Will my big block motor mounts work or am I going to have to change those, too?

Trying to figure out the technicals of this potential swap to see if I can try and make this happen.
I've got the boss to give me her OK

It takes a B engine intake. I was running a 6pk on it.  I was planning on installing an edelbrock victor, or M1 single plain on it with an 850 holley being the smallest carb choice. Im leaving the e body engine mounts on it , the fuel pump and electronic distributor. This is a drop in as it is. But the valves will have to be reset for start up being brand new reconditioned heads. I set them already at 16 thou cold for initial start up

Im surprised this thing is still here!  You guys this engine is NUTs!  I havent rode in a street car that quick off the line!  When Alan punched it I couldnt peel myself off the seat, it was awesome!  After we took that ride I knew I was hooked on Big Blocks!

I think anyone who buys this engine with type of thing in mind is going to be super happy!

Good luck Alan with the sell, that is a great price on that engine!
