proportioning valve
« on: September 15, 2010 - 11:07:12 PM »
I bought a 74 challenger that had this brake valve missing. Can  I get one from a different car? Satellite or a coronet? Anybody got a spare P/Valve for sale? Thanks Steve

like i said in your other post, i got one from a 84 (i think) fury and it works good. If i were home then i would send you one of the extras that i have. other than that you can order them new from some company that name escapes me right now.

I have the one off my 70 Challenger. But I don't think it's the same? I went with a wilwood adjustable one.

one from a newer 5th ave / Caraavelle body should work or just install an adjustable one

They are available new for around $95 but I've heard there are some problems with them.  I would think that a late B-body (Charger/Cordoba/Magnum)would use the same one.  I had an 82 Cordoba (J-body) that used the same valve as my 73.

Unless your wanting it to be stock ?  I did this! Cheaper than $95 and I can adjust it if needed.

You do have to use the brake line ends provided .The stock ones are to big. Not a big deal just cut off one end and reflare
