Do I owe my car an apology?
« on: September 19, 2010 - 08:37:00 AM »
So I was at a very small local show this weekend (<100 cars).  There were a total of three challengers and a demon as far as the MOPARs went, but there were a couple of absolutely beautiful other cars there.  My car is nice and IMHO was much better than the other MOPARS but not as clean or professionally restored as many show cars. So went the time came to vote for the best cars I didn't pick my own.  Should I feel guilty and should I go the garage right now and say that I am sorry and that it will never happen again?

Apologies  are just words.... You need to take her out for a nice long cruise, a tank of premium & possibly a new set of tires....But she'll never forget & you will hear about this many times in the future.

You did the right and noble thing, guys who vote for their own car...................won't go there. We all know what WE think of our cars, and I personally don't give a rip what other X branders think of them. Go to have fun and show off one of the best cars made, there is enough dust collecting at home anyway.  :2thumbs:

For the most part I stay away from the participant vote shows.  No matter how nice my car is, the Mopars are always in the minority, and I never get votes from the Brand X-ers.  There are too much "politics" in these shows.  What's most irritating is that there is a local club here that is made up of all makes and models, and for the most part their cars are all driver quality at best, but they all win because all they do is vote for each others cars.

It's just kinda tacky to vote for your own car. Besides , the peoples choice voting is what it is. Just how many friends you have at the show.   A bunch of us went to a car show. We could vote on all the "elite " cars.  :screwy: All the cars paid the same price to get in.  But we had to put money in a can to vote for all the muscle cars. The one car that won ( had the must money in their can )could ride in the parade with all the "elite " cars. There was a 4 door Ford there. Big rust holes in it. So we all threw our change in his can.  :icon16:  So he won , and got to drive in the parade.  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:
