vinyl top question
« on: September 19, 2010 - 11:06:38 AM »
so Im test fitting my new legendary top and seem to think part of it may be stitched wrong,  Laying it out and holding it in place with tape and clamps there seems to be large wrinkles across both sail panels. i believe it may be because of the length of the filler panel section is to long???????? If i fold this over all the wrinkles pull out. I know it has to be pulled tight but,,,,,,.  So what to do?  reseam the filler panel section?  when i fold it over the seams line up with the main roof seams too when when it doesnt now.  Could someone measure there top on the filler panel and tell me what the length between to seams are.   I fold it over 2 inches with that being doubled it looks as if its 4 inches to long?

what to do?

I had the same problem with mine on the Challenger. I had to cut and reseam about 2" either side below the window. Not too happy but what can you do?
