I still need to finish my `68 Road Runner first, but I think I will keep this one. I have driven big block Challengers and they are fun, but I would think that a 340 is ideal for these cars and am very excited for it.

So I did pull the engine and trans a little while back because I had to know if the original engine was any good and there is only so much you can see from the topside. It came apart without any issues except for the one stuck piston, all of the bearings were in good shape and there is nothing visibly wrong with the rest of the engine. I did find that the engine had been apart before as the rod caps were all # stamped.

Been gathering parts for this project as I find them locally. Scored a parts lot last year that included a fender, pair of doors and an early `70 non crumplezone ralley hood, ironically all originally burnt orange. More recently a burnt orange center console and most recently a really nice JH argent grille that is complete + another grille bottom piece to replace the one that actually came with the car that was all bent up.

I'm open to offers, but sadly one identicle, accept allot more solid and complete was just on Ebay and the bidding hardly got to what I would take for this.

That car has been for sale for a long time now.  Looks like a cool project that would save someone a lot.  Not sure I like the primer color underside, but still a good deal.  He's about 3 hours north of me if someone wants to to help.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
