Excellent idea  :2thumbs: I love my C-C.com calendars.  Have one both at work and home and would really like to see a new one for 2011.  :cooldancing: The quality of the 2010 calendar is tremendous!

I'm good for 1 or 2 myself and like the rest of us I'd love to get my car in a future calendar!

I think few in-progress cars would be motivational.

Dan

Maybe have cars that are either un restored and/or cars in barns.

It would require some extra work and consequent cost to us but I personally think there could be an added page or two consisting of resto cars in all stages and that section could be called "Upcoming Beauties" or "Future Canadates" or something along that line. I'd prefer the calendar to remain completed cars selected on value of photogentic appearance. Not selected on merrit of model or ownership. Not intending to be a "wet rag" here,................just my thoughts and  :2cents:  :dunno:

:iagree: I have mine where my co-workers go through it and look forward to each month's new honoree.  Not taking anything away from anyone's hard work, but I think reactions would change from "Wow!" to "Why?"

I love seeing how everyone is coming on theirs, but... :2cents:

although id love my chally in there, i do agree with you, maybe have a page of "upcoming beauties" as you said but i dont think people want to see a old torn down rust bucket for a month. so maybe in the back page or something

Killer pics, period.
I think I could integrate a few pics "in progress" (as long as the images look good)  into the "blank spaces" like I did last year.

Do we want a submission thread for works in progress? Or do we just add a note to the regular thread that members can submit pictures of cars in progress for that page?

Good idea for separate thread, and like last year, final selections for filler spots made by layout designer.

One thing I think would be cool to add to this years calender would be a picture of the month's feature car's engine compartment.  When my convertible was in the 2008 c-c calender it said "powered by a 383", but it would be more interesting if a small box with a picture of the engine could be put on the picture to show the feature cars powerplant, or put below on the calender portion next to the month or something.
I know it's probably too late to ask submitters to include an engine shot, but maybe after the voting, the 12 winners could be asked to send in a good engine picture?
Looking forward to seeing this years calender, in fact planning to go out today and take some pictures for my submission! :bigshades: :picture:
