    Which SFI approved bellhousing?

    Hi guys.
    Im looking at a bellhousing to bolt up my 23 spline box to 440 with 130 tooth flywheel,in my 70 challenger.
    It looks like either the lakewood or quick time housing.
    Has anybody used either of these and are there any advantages other than the lakewood being $50 cheaper?

    I have never used a QT housing , make sure you get offset alignment pins & adjust for center with the new belhousing

    I used the q t I think it's a little smaller in the tunnel area than the Lakewood it's a good product.  :2thumbs:

    The Quicktime looks like a nice piece. If I get a scattershield it will probably be that.
    The Lakewood is big and alot of problems fitting from what I hear...

    I know someone that bought a q t housing but hasnt fitted it yet,and a guy has a lakewood housing and only had to die grind the id of the bearing retainer opening for proper fit. The lakewood is a lot bulkier as it can take the 140 tooth flywheel as well. I didnt think of the offset dowel pins? I would assume it to be a good fit? Cant hurt to be too carefull i guess.

    Both are very good products - As mentioned the Lakewood is much larger in containment than that of the QuickTime.  This can cause issues with headers, especially TTI units.  The QuickTime bell housings are made from metal spinnings and are very accurate.  The Lakewood is Hydroformed.  I recommend the use of RobbMC offset dowels. (about $50.00) to dial indicate everything into place.
