Hooked these up and crimped em on tight don,t think they'll leak.

I am not happy with this flex hose angle, may need to locate a origional set of calipers for a cuda instead of these slider type. May not be an issue but I don't like it!

In days of old, when knights were bold and the Weatherhead display was full... you could usually find something in a nice 45' brass fitting to put in the caliper and help out that nasty angle. OR change the flex line for a braided type with more flexability.  :2cents:

I was thinking about that hitting the True Value bringing the caliper and flex hose and seeing if i could get a better angle from a fitting. I also have a braided flex hose. They are B- body but thinner and a little more flexible but the male fitting is the same size would still be a issue I think.  My father in law thinks I should swap the spindles and mount the calipers to the rear but I have read that should not be done due to possible hose issues. I wish I had not sold the old rusty 70 challenger pin type brakes , spindle and brackets I had laying around.  :banghead:
These are master power repops supposedly for an e-body the rest of the system booster/master/ lines are stock type e-body.

Mopartech article says this about it. What my father in law suggested. I am a little stump but I will buy or mod my way around this. Open to any suggestions.

excellent repros are now available from Master Power Brakes, Inc. Do not succumb to the temptation to use "lookalike" knuckles from later Mopars, such as 73-up B/R-bodies, F/J/M bodies, etc. These parts, while visually very similar, are taller, altering suspension geometry (camber change, bump steer, etc.), and possibly forcing the ball joints beyond their designed range, a/k/a “over angling”. Also do not swap the knuckles side-to-side to mount the caliper toward the rear, this causes brake hose routing difficulties.

I went the way you did.  Then got the larger mopar set up for the larger disc 11.75.   Then decided that the pin set up suited me better.  Having drum brakes in a convertible and sliding all over creation made me very focused on how well I could stop.  Now I'm going with a alterkation front end.  After I replaced all the peices in my suspension and up graded to the more desirable parts.   Keeping the whole set up in case I pick up another 70 challenger and I'll just put the whole kmember in at one time.

Yeah I am done with the aftermarket shart!! I saw a website where I can buy refurbished pin type calipers a pair for under 200 bucks, just tracking down the E-body disk brake spindles and mounting brackets for the calipers will be difficult.

Yeah I am sure these are wrong application type brakes, Mopar Action disk-o-tech shows a different exit for the flex hose in this article.

Gran,

that is not the correct line.  i will look and see what the correct replacement part number is.  i think i bought mine at AutoZone.  I do believe what you show may be for drum brakes.  the have the same thread set, but are not designed for disc calipers.  AutoZone also had the correct calipers too.

I might be wrong but don't the calipers mount on from the back? Mine were when I got the car. If so that would solve your caliper line issue? No? Just swap the spindles from side to side to get the caliper mounts were you need them.

I also believe the calipers mount to the rear of the rotor.  :naughty:

Turned out the brakes were for the 11.75 rotor and needed 73 a-body flex hoses and bolt with the thicker copper seals.

E brake cables all secured now with the rear in place.

gear box back in for tomorrow when I put the dash and wiring in.  :grinyes:

The motor will be next married to the transmission but i found out my crankshaft will need the adapter bearing 1.185 i think or something like that,.. brewers has em but will look for localy first, probably will have to order I hate setbacks.  :banghead:  but they are life!! since my .940 bearing fits great on the tranny but not into the block.

  :roflsmiley:
Not these they can be swapped talked to serious mopar techs today at their home base shop and they really hate these MP brake rotors,  calipers, and spindles but have figured out how to make them work right. They are basic beefier repops of a- body brakes 73-76.

Move onto the dash today after I locate the adapter bushing for the crankshaft.

I found this in one of my bags of nuts and bolts but cannot remember what it is for? or if it even belongs on a barracuda?

   What is it?

It's the underside bracket for the radio antenna. It mounts inside the fender well.
