Have you figured out how youare going to attach your rocker moldings?  i looked for the clips, and no one re-pops them.  once the break, you can't re-use them.  i have an idea using stiff, but flexible plastic stock, but haven't tried it out yet.  i need to get my rockers cleaned and re-painted.

I just noticed that your rockers have screw holes.  hhhmmm, mine don't have that, except on the far ends.  i wonder if that is the difference between 70 & 71 versions.

Yep Factory!!

2 inches inward from the outside end edge 2nd row of ridges is the 1st screw
Then next ridge down 6 1/2 inches further inward the second row of screws 9 1/2 inches apart until at the end and jumps back up 6 1/2 inches last outside screw 2 inches from outside edge.

Total screws 9    and the screw holes are countersunk to hide the screw head.

The rockers are aluminum not plastic.

Mine have only two holes each, one at each end.  nothing in-between.  i had heard that the part numbers were different for 70 and 71.  Were these on your car when you bought it, or did you get them afterwards?  Your is an LA built car, right?  Do you know the build date?  I'm asking, thinking that maybe LA got some early '71 parts, or maybe a design change mid year???

They were on the car when I bought it, previous owner had it off the road since 1982 and Origional owner was a Gal that lost it to a repair shop after a wreck where the car was hit in the drivers rear quarterpanel. They look like the origionals the backside had overspray from where the repair shop did the repaint to the ralleye red. I am not sure if they are 70 or 71 the car was built in LA in last quarter of 1969.

That explains alot , they were origionally annodized aluminum which is why I thought they were chrome, I painted them argent.

my build date is 12-69, and it's a Hamtramack car.  mine still has the original paint too.  the raised ridges, and each end are not painted though; that part is the bright aluminum.  you could probably wipe off the ridge with a cloth saoked in paint thinner, very gently of course.  thats what i am going to do.

You and i are on the same page!  i did not want a clone 'cuda, i wanted a Gran Coupe with a 440!
