So it looks like I will be laying my hot little hands on stroked & bored 400 that basically will only need intake and carb.
The carb is a no brainer, but the intake has me wondering.
Now FYI it is an engine done by Al so I asked him his opinion ( obviously ) and suggested an M1 single plain or Eddy Victor which after some digging I see a lot of people have used the M1.
So I guess I have been caught up in the whole dual plain for street cars mind set.
But yet I think I needed to learn a bit more and single plain intakes any more are not just for hard core race cars.
Even at one point I believe Chryco suggested a dual plain for a motor if it were for an RV
So what do you guys think?
Am I worried about "throttle response" to a point of sacrificing overall performance?
Just looking for some input, tried a few searches but still was fuzzy on when I NEED a dual plain.
Still going to use Al's advise as who would know what the rest of the engine needs besides the guy who built it and many others, but was curious on what everyone else is running.
Give me your 2 cents!
