Wow, that's a shame.
It is and it isn't.  On one hand the cars have been left to rot.  On the other hand, back in the day when these cars were junked and had no value, many yards would have crushed them.  In a crude way the owner of this yard may have saved some of these cars.  That is, if he will sell them now at a reasonable price.

prices arent as bad as everyone said they were gonna be.

2500 for the purple road runner (too high IMO) car needs a door, fender, both quarters, inner and outer wheel housings, a rocker, cowl and a door jamb

850 for the gold road runner (someone please come buy this car)

1000 for the red sport satellite (thats the one i think im going to get)

and 600 dollars for the car that i am about to post a picture of (what year is it) and its worth 600 buck right?

That is a 62 Newport.  Since it shared body shells and parts with the 300, someone will want it.

As far as I can tell, the only 383's in that body style were in the non-letter series 300's.  Newports were 361's, New Yorkers 413's and 300 letter series 413 cross ram 2 4bbls.

how can you visibly tell a 383 from a 361? not that it matters really, if i kept it i would go with a more modern motor.

Man, you DO find some stuff, Bran. The 62 Chryslers sure were a great deal more attractive than the Dodges.  :2thumbs:

It may be stamped on the top of the block by the distributer. Other than the stamping you would have to look at the numbers cast into the side of the block below the exhaust manifold.  It would be hard to see these numbers where the car sits now.

:  But you see this kind of thing most everywhere, this one just happens to be near all Mopars, but why do people/dealers who have these kind of resources not take better care of them? Just looks like a haphazard "who cares" way of "doing business".  :dunno:  :clueless: Truthfully it appears he's done as much damage to the cars as anyone else, a little organization and care could still add years of "life" to a lot of those cars.

Jim, thats exactly what I meant by stating the "old school" way. Altho my yards packed too, everythings in a row and nothings directly on the ground. My guys stay away from my old mopes for most part, and know part of their job is to preserve what good parts we do have!  :grinyes:

I know what you mean by old school. There's a yard up in NY where amongst the other treasures was a T/A stacked on top of a Hurst 300. Thanks to reckless yard dogs, neither car was worth saving. circa 1992?
