As far as the timing set goes I use a Pro Gear from Hughes Engines. Have had it on for about 25K miles, 700 of which have been at 150-185 mph (4800 rpm) and have changed 3 cams without any noticable stretch. They have the collar too.  But I still dont have any bounce when I have the pit girl wind up the motor to check max timing advance... Bob..'73 ORR 'Cuda

Will a stretched chain produce bounce at any RPM or just higher levels like I am seeing?

hard to say , as thwe lifter goes over the lobe it tends to push the cam forward with the pressure on the other side of the lobe but at what speed it would not have time to do that I am not sure

The one thing I hate about aftermarket "race style" cam gears is the multi key location. I had to lay mine against a stock gear to figure out what slot to use.

I know my car would go a long way if i had help degree'ing the cam though.  ::)
