drool  Bullitt hands down! All out kick A$$ action  driving and some wild jumps too! For the year it was made, for the real trip through SF, this wasn't a faked up job, this was right through the streets of SF. VP great too but Bullitt wins in my book! IMHO  thumbs

I liked 2 Lane mostly for the drag races with vintage cars ( and the fact that the only car to beat the old 55 was a Hemi )

Best part of the Bullitt chase scene was when the brakes went out for real.  I bet McQueen dropped a load that day.

Well I have to say Vanishing Point (I'm biased)  patriot The car chase is none stop, prefer the cult-classic over the remake, less BS and in the prime of the muscle car era.  8) Bullitt didn't do much for me, 1 hour 20 minutes of utter dribble  yawn followed by a 4 minute car chase where the Mustang beats the MoPar.  madvibe grinno Still some good classic cars used without the aid of digital enhancement.

Blah Blah Blah   bs    grinyes  Yeah, I guess that makes sense, I liked Steve McQueen though, the show wasn't that bad for the time, I saw it in the theatre when it first came out, same with Vanishing Point, yup, these are classics for sure and you are right about the cult classic, VP is that for sure. Wonder why you would be bias NZ?  driving  No matter, gotta love them older ones for sure!  thumbs

ack Actually I can't figure out why you didn't put on the OJ Simpson chase scene, that was incredible for sure!!!  puke

Vanishing Point!

After watching that movie it makes me want to pop pills and drive cross country.

Plus I've heard they crash a Camaro as opposed to a MoPar at the end  fire

Vanishing Point...because the car is the star thumbs

Bullitt...because of the Charger regardless of who drove it; not to mention Steve McQueen and a too small bit part for Robert Duvall thumbs

Two Lane Blacktop...maybe the first Power Cruise ever??...while stopping off at various tracks to pick up more money to keep the cruise going. Now THAT'S cruising with a mission  thumbs driving

And an honorable mention for Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry fire

Well, we know it ain't gonna be The Fast and The Furious.  That movie sucked.

I voted Smokey and the Bandit.

Definitely the original Vanishing Point. grinyes  Kowalski drove for two hours straight, then when it was time to crash the car, they used a '67? Camaro so they weren't wrecking one of the greatest muscle cars of all time!  The original GISS was alright, but Vanishing had it going for them IMO.  As for The Fast and the Furious movies...... puke puke nono
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.

Well, I have to go with VP (LOVE watchin it with my bro-in-law who has a light blue '69 Jag E-Type 'vert)

But I also offer honourable mention for The Wraith.  Tim Feehan's Where's The Fire (and a bit of Ozzy thrown in) with the Dodge Interceptor smokin the 'Vette and Fire Chicken

And how often do ya see a pre-'70 'Cuda in a flik??

I have to go with Smokey and the Bandit. I watched it 4 times in 1 day when I was a youngin and home sick from school.

I know it's not a movie (yet) but how about Dukes of Hazzard as honorable mention!! HEEHAW
