Work Completed Week Ending 11/7/04
« on: November 08, 2004 - 11:35:10 AM »
We got a little more done this week, but nothing major.  Worked on the inside of our fenders and got them on the car.  We finally got a bracket for the Sanden A/C compressor and made sure that fit.  Now we have to have that bracket made in stainless instead of the ugly black metal.  Legendary delivered our new front bucket foam Saturday so we should be getting to that this week.  We got out the re-chromed rear bumper and the valance and are in the process of finding the fasteners to get that on there.  Here's some pics.

Finally have something to post in this thread, because I stopped planning and started doing.

Got the whole interior stripped, except for the dash and headliner. The floorpans have been replaced - pretty good job, but the PO was better with seam sealer than in running a nice bead. No major rust.

Lots of spray adhesive with carpet padding fuzz to clean up. Surface rust on the rocker covers, thank goodness no
perforations.

And I found four little shreds of the build sheet stuck in the coils of the pasenger seat - looks like someone just grabbed
it and pulled it out. No useful information, but it's something.

This week - install Hot Dawg garage heater (it's gettin cold).

Lookin' good everyone.  I am sad to say the only thing I did to the Cuda this week was go in the garage and tell her how pretty she is and tell her that I still love her even though I haven't driven her.  (I think I need help because I am telling the truth).     eeksmall

I know this is minor, but I put a new beefy amplifier in my trunk. It's just for those rare days when I want to hear the music above the engine noise grinyes

Thanks Rusty!  It's a color we fell in love with at first sight on an old Ferd at a car show.  It's a BMW color called Calypso Red.  I know it's not original....but it's different.

NZ,
I bet it's a 73 by his sig. It's definitely a cast crank motor as well.

I like dirrerent!  in 3 years or so of searching ebay ,I've only seen my color bout 5 times, they usually list it as maroon(it pretty much is) for the cuda's it was a 74 only color, not orig for the 73 either, but it was the color of the 74 I had back in the day! Rich.
