    Heres my magnaflow's at full throttle.  Mild when cruising but gets loud when you get on it.

    See Chryco's post above on back pressure.   If you really want it, you can always plug up the tailpipes with potatoes, or such :grinyes:

    Stroker's vid is the reason I purchased Magnaflows. Love the full throttle sound, reasonably quiet note for cruising.

    My Dynomax Super Turbos are awesome, and sound awesome.

    The Flowmasters were too loud in the car, high resination. I hated it.  :burnout:

    I did 3 inch magnaflow and wish I would have went 2.5 its a little loud in the upper rpm range for an extended drive but great around idle to 2500  :cooldancing:

    My son had Flowmaster 40 series on his Dodge Ram truck and I couldn't ride in it on the freeway the drone was so bad.  Have Magnaflow on my Vette and truck and love the sound.  When the time comes I'll put Magnaflow 2.5" and X pipe on the 'Cuda with the 440!!  :2thumbs:

    Everybody has their favorite mufflers but installing the "H" pipe will take out some of the bark and even up the note out the back and installing an "X" will change the note again but for the better giving more scavenging and therefore slightly more power.   :2cents:

    part of this sound will also depend on if you have ANY insulation in the car. rear seat divider with insulation, dyno matting, insulation in the rear seat. ect, ect  :2cents:

    I heard the X pipe setup will only really help if I'm pushing a lot of power out of the engine, which I'm not so would I not want to bother with and H or an X for now?

    Either one of the "X" or "H" pipe setups are better than running two pipes straight out the back. If you are wanting louder than stock mufflers, either of these setups will help you.

    I was checking out Thrush's 2 chamber welded Mufflers, and....are they not just the same design as the flowmaster 40 series?...what is suppose to be different?
