If I was to install the big block version, would it be a direct bolt in, or would I need a new pick up and windage tray?

Bolt on. Big block needs it's own pick up also. Nicer and better than stock anyway. I think the windage tray is fine as long at the pick goes through it in the same place. Might ask Milodon on that.

Just installed my pan (and motor) last weekend...

Pictures of how precision fit the oil pan is with this 73-76 A-body spool mount type K-member. Threading a needle with the design here. This is the tightest K-member the oil pan was designed for. Also fits the 67-72 A-body type K-member much easier than the 73-76 K-member.

It fits the E and B body car fine with even more room. Much like the big block Milodon pan.

Check this out for ground clearance!! Yes there is a pan behind that K-member. Actually 1/4" MORE clearance than stock because the stock pan has a bulge for the drain plug.

Here's the ultimate test.... Flat board is being held diagonally across k-member front passenger front to bottom of steering box drivers rear.

Awesome!!

Actually Summit bumped the price up to $419. Milodon said the $383 price was wrong. Soon after that it was changed.

Hughes and some others have it around $383. I'd get one before they bump/correct thier price up. Google: Milodon 31590

Jegs: $ 385.99 http://www.jegs.com/i/Milodon/697/31590/10002/-1?CT=999

Race Mart: $ 357.74 http://www.race-mart.com/Milodon-MIL-31590.html

Inistalled the the factory windage tray after messing around with the milodon windage tray for too long and not liking the cuts
I had to do to get it to fit and then I would have had to close up or cut lovers to clear the rod bolts. I grabbed the stock tray with new bolts and it went in with no mods or cuts within 5 minutes.
I am happy with the pan and what I did, just head scratching that when you buy this from a single manufacturer and there own stuff doesn't fit together.
I don't get it.
The Hughes rocker shaft holdown set up I bought is another one of many head scratchers, It is a very nice set up but the studs are too short for the Edelbrock heads.
Oh well.
