Why did you choose Mopar? part II
« on: October 05, 2010 - 10:33:50 PM »
Back in 2006 we did a thread here named, Why did you choose Mopar?

Thought it would be worth bringing it back up again.

I grew up around them.  My parents owned Plymouths and Dodges.

So, they are in my DNA!

Everything I have found out about them makes the old mopars #1 in my book. They had the best motors and engineering in my opinion.

That plus.........I had a 69 camaro for about a month..........saw about 100 of them in car shows during that time. I wanted something that isn't a dime a dozen.
Cuda is gone :(

All my uncles ( Mom has 7 brothers ) were Chevy guys...

Needed something to stand out - 1st Mopar started with a 440 Dad had kept from 1 of the couple of Dodge trucks he had.

Been on hooked on the coolest cars since.

MOPAR, cubic inch for cubic inch out performs all the others, more reliable and they stand out in the crowd of the others.

1964 - a girlfried's brother had a sweet looking Satalite with a mean sounding engine that seemed to just launch whenever he excellerated, sold me. Due to my inexperience and ignorance at the time I've thought accross the years, "Wonder if this might have been a 426 max wedge?" I traded off my chebby in spring of 65 for a '64 Sport Fury 383 hi po, it ran great but not like that first Mopar (muscle car) I rode in.?  Interesting, my next girfriend also had a brother who owned a GTX 440, that relationship didn't last too long, whenever I'd go over I spent more time with her brother and his car than with her.  :roflsmiley:

You really are a bad girl!!!  LOL!!!

I got into mopar because I was born into it!  Both of my grandfathers retired out of chryslers in the eighties.  Thus the family loyality.

My dad almost always had Mopars.  My older brother has nothing but mopars and so do we. Now my daughter and son in law have them too. I guess it's a family thing. I have never been let down driving them and in my younger years I had some pretty junkie cars but they kept going.
