Can't say i've missed any deals on rare mopars but did miss out on a nice 67 Dart that was a rust free and solid. The guy heard about me having a Cuda and stopped by with the Dart to see if i wanted to buy it cause he was trying to sell it. Let that one get away he wanted 800.00 bucks  :banghead:

Twice:  Ordered a brand new 1970 'Cuda in Oct '69: 383, 4 speed with center console, 3:55 posi rear end, Ralleye gauges, AM/FM, rear window defroster, triple black, and A/C, $4200 OTD.  Didn't get the Hemi because at the time you couldn't get a factory AM/FM radio with a Hemi.  Something to do with the electronics.  AM/FM was the new big deal at the time and I really wanted an AM/FM radio. Stupid me didn't even consider getting an aftermarket AM/FM.  Didn't get the 440 because I was a LEO at the time and our police cars were the '68 and '69 Roadrunners with the 383 engines.  Since they ran like raped apes I figured that was the engine for me.  Sold the car for $2800 three years later.  A few years later had the opportunity to buy the car back.  However, it was going to be my wife's DD.  We borrowed it for a week and she decided she didn't want it as a DD because it did not have power steering.  Again stupid me, didn't even consider getting it added to the car.  Car was probably a 1 of 1 with A/C and no P/S.  Car would probably be worth $50K+ now.  :banghead: :banghead:
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

In the 90's I passed up a 1970 Road Runner clone ( 70 Satellite) for $800 because I found a hole the size of a quarter in the frame rail. The rest of the car was pretty good painted on the bottom as nice as the top.
I'm still kicking myself..........
Even now I REALLY want a 70 GTX,RR or even a Satellite!
I hear ya.  In 1978 I sold my 70 Sport Satellite for $200 to the guy I bought the Barracuda from.  For $200 I should have kept it.  I've been looking but I just can't find one at a reasonable price.  I'd love a 70 RR clone.

92, behind detroit auto works in shoreline, I found a 70 Challenger R/T 440 six pack convertible, perfect shape, black over plum crazy, engine tranny and interior ripped out but available. Dude, being a salesman said 14,000, I laughed and walked away. Should have offered 5,000 but didn't, as I thought, even that was too much........... :blah:

I missed one this past July,It got listed on craigslist and was a 71 Cuda 340 shaker car and it sold for $13000 had new paint(gold)and a brand new 340 engine with all paper work from the engine shop, had not even been started yet.Car was relisted 3 days later by the new owner for $35000 and sold, the new owner paid $27000.Car keeps showing up to plague me,was in a recent auction for an AAR out near Boston. You could see the tail end showing in the garage in the background,I know it was the same car because a very good friend had driven out to check out the AAR and told me the story from the present owner :horse:
I remember that car.  If I recall correctly, the flipper listed it quite a few time before selling.

1971 I was in high school and passed on a 1966 Shelby GT350 Mustang for $300! The gal who had it was a dispatcher for the local police dept. and wanted to get rid of it because it used too much gas. I passed on it for the same reason! :faint:

I never really had anything that would be considered "rare" but one time....In the early 90's, I stopped by a local bodyshop with a friend and we were looking at a 1970 RoadRunner..Or what looked like a RR...Upon closer inspection, we noticed the rear holes on top of the rear quarters and thought it was a wreck that had been repaired afterall, all the "Cool" cars were WAY overpriced right? A "Gentleman" came out of the side door and began to "Inform" us that it was left there by a customer, and had been sitting there for over 5 years..He offered it to us for the first $4500.00(No title mind you) as that was the bill on the yellow car. We passed thinking it was prolly stolen or something... :dunno:

Then, there was the yellow 1970 Ply. Duster 340 auto I passed on for $3500.00 in 1988, but I was into my '65 and 16 Y/O, making $110.00/week.. I didn't have nowhere near that kinda money...

I passed on a '68 Superbee 440 auto project a few years ago for $1,500. It was all complete with no drivetrain. I didn't get it because I already had the Charger and didn't need anymore projects. A few years later and I have the Duster and my '70 Coronet project now too.....and the Charger still isn't done
