I would limit close-ups or pics that you can not get a good look at the car as a whole.

But as we are voting on them, I guess it falls into the random choice.

I've had similar discussions with a couple of people, and that's the conclusion I've come to as well. I tend to be looking at the shots as a photographer rather than an enthusiast, so all shots have a pretty much equal chance with me, but members will decide what they're willing to/want to look at for 1/12 of the year :-)

A guy at work wants to make a calendar for his side-line busines.
Where are you getting the printing done?  I will send him there and
see what he can do.

Judy has been getting printing quotes, but I'm not certain if she's made a choice yet.

The biggest issue with calendars is the amount you want printed and your expertise in layout and design, after that it's a cake walk, just hand them out. Sometimes for a side business, it might be just as easy to go to a local copy shop and bring the photos, they'll do the rest. If you have some experience with a computer you can go to lulu.com. Just need to upload pics for each month. No custom layout for the days in the month, you need to use their set-up. My son had some done there last year for an ATV forum. Quality was good and pricing is based on quantity ordered.

We almost had a tie for 12th, but a couple of last minute voters tipped the scales.

JMO...I liked this shot, just had too much crap in the background...removed the stuff, wires etc...swept up the gravel, planted some grass and waxed the car...

While we're on the subject of weird stats, only 5 of the 32 entries requested a specific month...and 4 of them were for October  :dunno:

JMO...this pix is just about text book perfect on how to shoot a car for the magazines...black cars, while beautiful in person, just need lots of color to compliment them in a pix...I really like this shot

Nice black SRT, but....
theres no color in the background.
That Hurst challenger was very well composed with colors.

JMO...basically a good shot, car was just too small...moving in closer and better light help out the black car ...also, building refelction in the side of the car should have been avoided

JMO...

pix # 1 was one of my favorites, cars in action shots are difficult and this one is pretty darned good
pix # 2...car is too small, pix too dark, don't park in front of the trees
pix # 3...another very very good shot...unusual backgrounds, especially snow make for outstanding pix...these shots rarely just happen, takes planning and time
