Z-Bar PG Classics
« on: October 13, 2010 - 12:32:24 PM »
I recently purchased a brand new z-bar from a member on here and I guess that I should have done a little more homework about PG-Classics before I bought it. Hopefully someone will be able to clarify this for me. PG-Classics sells one Z-Bar for an ebody. I come to find out that there is a difference between a BB Z-Bar and a SB Z-Bar. Could anyone verify this? if so...Do you know which one PG Classics sells? I spoke with Wayne at Brewers and he told me that you can use a SB Z-Bar on a BB but you can't use a BB Z-Bar on a SB. PG Classics could not provide me any support on this. They have no idea. Can anyone help?

not sure which works with which, but there is a SB and BB one. Alan knows which combos work.

The part number is probably right. The length is actually the same, just the levers are in a bit of a different location. BB tq bars are more rare thean the sb bar.  I have 2 extra sb bars around here somewhere. I'd try yours out first, mine is just a UPS truck away.  There is like a 1/2 inch difference

the small block one is slightly longer as the engine is narrower

Can you post a picture of your Z-bar? The difference is where the arm is welded on the end. If PG classic only sells one it must be the small block one, determined by your description.  You can get the angled adjuster rod to make it work. Let's see it.
