Dome Lamp
« on: October 13, 2010 - 05:47:30 PM »
This may sound like a stupid question but how does the dome lamp socket come out.  I am afraid to do something stupid by forcing it.   I am doing my headliner and need to get ti out.  Side note....  Where can i get a new dome lens mine is very yellowed.. Thanks

The lense pops out, just two tabs hold it to the base.  After the lense is off, there are 2 screws that hold it to the roof bracing.

You might be able to slip the entire base through, but why risk it?

Maybe this is what you are asking for.
The socket is held by 4 tabs. Use a plier and gently press the tabs so the socket can be removed from the housing.
