    Hey, Choppintime, we got started late this year and we only had a couple of weeks to submit shots. I'm going to try to post reminders throughout 2011 for people to get shots throughout the year, and then (if I'm still doing this) make sure things get started earlier next year.

    Hmmm   I think we will be lucky to hit 100 members that vote.  Still thats pretty good and should make for an interesting finish to the calendar voting process!   :2thumbs:

    I know we haven't done this in the past but would there be much resistance to an occasional (monthly/quarterly etc.) newsletter or announcement email to all members? I'm all for reducing unnecessary inbox clutter but I for one wouldn't mind getting something from this site. The members, information, and involvement is great here.

    The inclusions for the newsletter could be submitted by any member and left up to moderators to include or not. Getting people to vote and/or send pictures for the calendar would be a perfect example. Other things might be calendar announcement for upcoming events like all Mopar shows etc. or ???

    Just a thought to try to contact all members, not just those that frequent the site by choice.

    It's an interesting idea. It would definitely have to be opt in.

    My first thought is that, having run a couple of magazines, it's a surprising amount of work to do, even for a page or two. My second thought is that pretty much all of what could appear in a newsletter can appear here. My third thought it that, while you're right that it could reach a lot more people, the people who don't participate here that frequently probably do so out of choice, so they probably wouldn't opt in anyway.

    But those are just my thoughts. I'd be interested in hearing what other people think.
